By Car:

Traveling from the East on I-10 - Saguaro National Park - Eastern District

If you are driving on Interstate 10 and entering Tucson from the East to get to the Saguaro National Park - Eastern District. Take Houghton Road exit (275) north to Escalante Road ( about 8 miles ) take a right onto Escalante Road and go about 2 miles to dead end into Old Spanish Trail on the boundary with Saguaro National Park East. Take a left and go 400 yards or so and the park entrance is on the right. Look for signs to Saguaro National Park.

Traveling from the East on I-10 - Saguaro National Park - Western District

If you are driving on Interstate 10 and entering Tucson from the East to get to the Saguaro National Park - Western District.
(Due to narrow mountain roads, vehicles with trailers or RV's over 25 feet are not recommended on Gates Pass Road. See instructions below for those vehicles.) Take Speedway Boulevard Exit and turn left (West) and go under the bridge. Speedway turns into Gates Pass Road. Continue West and travel through Gates Pass. Take a right (North) when you dead end into Kinney Road. Follow Kinney Road until you see the signs for Saguaro National Park. ( This is a very scenic drive.)

For vehicles with trailers or RV's over 25 feet take this route: From I-10 take I-19 South to Nogales and exit after about 1 mile at Ajo Highway 86 Exit 99 turn right (West) and follow Ajo Highway about 5 miles to Kinney Road. Turn right on Kinney Road and follow it about 9 miles and look for signs to Saguaro National Park.

Traveling from the North on I-10 - Saguaro National Park - Western District

If you are driving on Interstate 10 and entering Tucson from the North to get to the Saguaro National Park - Western District.

Take Speedway Boulevard Exit and turn right (West) on Speedway Boulevard. Speedway turns into Gates Pass Road. Continue West and travel through Gates Pass. Take a right (North) when you dead end into Kinney Road. Follow Kinney Road until you see the signs for Saguaro National Park. ( This is a very scenic drive.)

For vehicles with trailers or RV's over 25 feet take this route: Take Avra Valley Road exit (242) to Sandario Road, then turn left and head south, following signs to Saguaro National Park.

Traveling from the North on I-10 - Saguaro National Park - Eastern District

If you are driving on Interstate 10 and entering Tucson from the North to get to the Saguaro National Park - Eastern District. Follow I-10 through Tucson heading East. Traveling from the city of Tucson - Saguaro National Park - Western District

(Due to narrow mountain roads, vehicles with trailers or RV's over 25 feet are not recommended on Gates Pass Road. See instructions below for those vehicles.) Take Speedway Boulevard west. Speedway becomes Gates Pass Road soon after you pass under I-10. Follow Gates Pass Road through Gates Pass and when you dead end into Kinney Road take a right and head north. After about 3 1/2 miles look for signs to Saguaro National Park. (Highly recommended scenic route.)

For vehicles with trailers or RV's over 25 feet take this route: Take Speedway Boulevard to I-10. Turn right at I-10 and take I-10 north to Ina Road exit (248) turn left ( West ) on Ina Road. Take Ina Road to Silverbell Road. Turn right on Silverbell Road which turn into Twin Peaks Road and follow it to Sandario Road, then turn left heading south on Sandario Road, follow signs to Saguaro National Park.

Traveling from the city of Tucson - Saguaro National Park - Eastern District

Take Speedway Boulevard east to Freeman Road then turn right on Freeman Road and head south to Old Spanish Trail. Continue heading south on Old Spanish Trail and begin to look for signs to Saguaro National Park. (Speedway Boulevard eventually dead ends into Saguaro National Park East at the Douglas Spring Trailhead. If you reach this point you have gone too far. Just turn around and head back Speedway Boulevard East to Freeman Road. It's about 3 miles. Then head south to Old Spanish Trail and the Saguaro National Park Visitors Center Eastern District is nearby.)
